The Lexus RX 350 is one of the most popular crossovers in the world. Toyota's reliability and simplicity are combined with the comfort and status of Lexus. In just two years (2009-2010), nearly two hundred thousand Lexus RX350/450h cars were sold in the USA.
The development of the third-generation Lexus RX began in 2004. However, the RX III AL10 was only introduced to the public in November 2008. The car is assembled in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, and in Japan for the North American market. The new generation RX 350 (GGL10/GGL15) received an updated 3.5-liter 2gr-fe engine, with a wider power and torque curve, delivering 275 horsepower and a revised CVT U660f automatic transmission for full-drive versions and u660e for front-wheel drive. The transmission is automatic, six-speed, sequential. Both the 2gr-fe engine and the u660 transmission can be purchased at our Lexus RX dismantling yard. The car is based on the AGL/GGL/GYL platform, indicating a wide interchangeability of parts in the suspension with other Lexus vehicles.
Even in the new full-drive version of the RX, engineers have taken care of fuel consumption: a new active torque management system transfers from 50 to 100 percent of torque exclusively to the front wheels. This increases fuel efficiency.
The coefficient of resistance to airflow has been reduced to 0.33 Cd. This allows the car to drive at speeds above 200 km/h without any discomfort or excessive noise. Compared to the previous generation RX350, the interior and trunk volume has been increased by 5 percent. The SmartKey system, LCD displays, seats with 10 settings, conceptually new airbags, numerous driver assistance systems, and adaptive headlights are actively used. All of this makes the Lexus RX350 one of the most comfortable, safe, and modern cars.
