US Car Market 07.2014

The company AutoPMR is closely connected to the American car market. We strive to keep track of all trends and changes in the demand and supply dynamics of cars. In this article, we want to share some statistical data on the sales of new cars in the USA in June 2014, based on research from motorintelligence.com and other American research groups. Low interest rates on loans and a stable US economy have borne fruit, with car sales in June exceeding forecasts and reaching 1.4 million. This represents a 1.2% growth compared to May 2014. In the first half of the year, a total of 8.2 million cars were sold in the USA, which is 4.3% higher than the same period in 2013. The so-called SUV class, which includes minivans, continues to outsell sedans. Crossovers show the most positive dynamics, but other cars in the segment have not lost their positions in sales. Among sedans, the midsize class, which was previously the best-selling, showed negative dynamics. The best-selling midsize sedan remains the Toyota Camry 50. However, most of its counterparts showed negative sales dynamics in June 2014. The market share of car manufacturers remains largely unchanged: Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota, Honda, Nissan. And the most interesting part - sales of models. For the month. For the half-year. Based on this data, we personally note such cars as the Toyota Camry 50, Honda Accord 2014, Nissan Altima, Honda CRV, Toyota Rav4, and the new bold Nissan Sentra.
